The Metaphonian Society is one of the all female societies on the Whittier College campus. Whittier College is not affiliated with the Greek system so instead of sororities and fraternities, we have societies.

Our Mission: The Metaphonian Misses are proud to be a part of this diverse organization which aims to better each individual, the group as a whole, and the college. We also aim to achieve academic excellence and leadership while emphasizing the importance of sisterhood and service to the community.

Part of a Community: Members of the Metaphonian Society are taught the necessary skills to become dedicated and committed leaders and are equipped with the skills to work well with others. The society also provides members the opportunity to network with our remarkable alumnae, who prove that this sisterhood is truly lifelong.

We believe that it is important to be involved on and off campus in order to better the community. We are proud to say that many members of the society have been involved in a variety of extracurricular activities. Our Misses have been involved in many other clubs/organizations, volunteer work, sports, the Whittier Scholar's Program and leadership/academic societies.
